الملخص: | The objective of the research is to characterize the bromatological composition of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) foliage meal as an alternative supplement in animal feed. Therefore, the first phase consisted of obtaining the flour. Subsequently, 200 g were stored in zip lock bags for each study sample, and then they were sent to determine through chemical analysis their bromatological composition, macro and micro minerals, as well as an aminogram to determine their protein consistency through the breakdown and quantification of amino acids. On average, the bromatological analysis of the flour showed the following results: 28.35% protein, 14.66% fiber, 8.49% ash, 6.90% moisture, 4.48% fat, and the aminogram showed the following results; 4.10 g of glutamic acid, 4.07 g of aspartic acid, 2.48 g of leucine, 2.13 g of phenylalanine, 1.81 g of alanine, 172 g of proline, 1.71 g of serine, 1.70 g of valine. In addition, in the mineral analysis, the following data stood out: potassium: 15555.4 mg/kg; calcium: 9845.7 mg/kg; magnesium: 2744.8 mg/kg; sodium: 327.6 mg/kg; iron 206.2 mg/kg; zinc: 106.7 mg/kg. It is concluded that, cassava foliage meal has an ideal bromatological composition to be used as an alternative supplement in animal feed. |
