Opis
Sažetak:The purpose of this research was to estimate the water footprint produced by the main commercial activities in the urban area of the city of Flavio Alfaro, with the objective of generating a consumption indicator that takes into account the contaminated water in the processes, for this purpose the methodology described in the Manual of Water Footprint Assessment of the WFN (Water Footprint Network) and Hoekstra. The purpose of this research is to generate data that can be used as a guide in future research or projects related to water conservation and protection. It was possible to determine the commercial activities of the study area and highlight the problem of the merchants when it comes to obtaining quality water, contamination of nearby tributaries and non-compliance with the regulations of the Unified Text of Secondary Legislation of the Ministry of Environment (TULSMA), six activities were estimated in the urban area where a total water footprint of 1976.94 m3/month was obtained, which in reference to similar studies made for Fund for the Protection of Water (FONAG), a high consumption of water is established in commercial activities for the production of a good or service, especially the gray water footprint with 1954.4 m3/month of the total estimate.
