Čoahkkáigeassu: | The research that was developed was of an exploratory nature with a descriptive approach, the purpose was the identification of competitive advantages based on innovation in the hotels of the city of Manta, which consisted of three phases. In the first instance, a situational diagnosis was made where 6 hotels of 4 and 5 stars were taken into consideration, for this it was necessary to collect and analyze bibliographic information, interviews and strategic SWOT analysis. The second phase consisted of the analysis of the competitiveness where the study of the demand was carried out, allowing to know the point of view of the guests about the accommodation services, in the same way the profile of the visitor was known, being its main market. The niche of young people who spend the night within the territory, in the same way expert criteria were established where key aspects for hotel management were identified. The last phase was based on the literature review on IT-based hotel strategies, which served as the basis for formulating the actions, taking into account the organizational structure of each of the selected hotels. Within the strategy matrix, 6 objectives and 13 objectives were proposed. Strategies with the purpose of being implemented for the satisfaction of the guest. According to the results of this research, it was determined that each hotel establishment must apply competitive strategies of technological innovation such as: PMS, Smart Buildings, Cashback, Benchmarking, in order to improve its hotel and operational management. |
