Achoimre:The objective of the research was to design the tourist zoning that allows the sustainable development of the natural and cultural resources of the Santa Ana Bio Corridor. A methodological procedure was structured based on the bibliographic review of various research papers in three phases: Legal framework, situational diagnosis and guidelines for zoning. The results obtained in the investigation allowed to determine the tourism potential of the Biocorredor, identifying 21 natural and cultural tourist resources, which constitute the main strength of the area. On the other hand, there is a legal and regulatory basis in the Santa Ana canton that supports the development of tourism zoning. As a result of the determination of the guidelines, three zones were identified: environmental recovery zone, sustainable use zone, and public use zone. These areas are based on the criteria: ecological, zoning, historical and physical. The development of each zone will have a regulation of sustainable use, as well as visitor behavior and activities to be developed by the population, with the purpose of obtaining economic and environmental benefits as a result of the application of responsible tourism. Finally, the investigation showed that the Biocorredor de Santa Ana is a territory that has diverse resources, and of relevant potential, as well as the human talent necessary to generate sustainable development.
