Beskrivelse
Summary:The present document focuses on the development of a business plan for the establishment of a citrus processing plant in Chone canton. Through the use of descriptive, inductive, and deductive research methodologies, as well as qualitative and quantitative analyses, a thorough characterization of Chone's agricultural environment was conducted. It was discovered that, within its demographics, a significant 85% of the residents have a preference for packaged juices, presenting a clear opportunity for growth in the citrus sector. From extensive market studies, it was determined that orange, lemon, and mandarin juices are the most in demand. Organizationally, a structure is proposed for "Citrus Time" that integrates key roles to ensure efficient and profitable operations. The investment needed to bring the project to fruition is estimated at $145.233,64. However, with growing demand and an estimated sales price of $1.50 per bottle, an encouraging financial return is projected. Equally important, the significance of adopting sustainable and eco-friendly practices was highlighted, in light of the potential environmental impacts associated with citrus processing. In conclusion, this business plan not only underscores the economic feasibility of the "Citrus Time" project but also the importance of its commitment to the environment and community.
