| Sumari: | This research aimed to assess the effect of the use of the J-Synch proestro prolongation protocol on the uterine environment in zebu cross heifers. For this, 21 zebu heifers were used that were randomly divided into three groups of synchronization treatments, in each group consisting of seven animals, respectively; a treatment was applied (normal and modified J-Synch, in addition to conventional treatment with estradiol cypionate). The data was analyzed using a general and mixed model procedure for a family of normal data with identify link to demonstrate the effect of the independent variables on the response variable (uterine environment). The InfoStat software was used for all these analyzes. As a result, regarding the number of receptors for estradiol and progesterone, no statistical differences were found between groups (P> 0.05). But the J-Synch 7 d (7.0 ± 1.2) and J-Synch 6 d (6.8 ± 1.4) groups had higher progesterone levels (P <0.05) than the conventional group (5.0 ± 1.5). In addition, higher levels of estradiol (P <0.05) were found in the J-Synch 7 d (15.7 ± 6.2) and J-Synch 6 d (15.0 ± 5.7) groups compared to the Conventional (11.0 ± 5.6). While no statistical differences were found for corpus luteum diameter and pregnancy rate (P> 0.05). It is concluded that the synchronization treatment generates similar amounts of endometrial receptors for progesterone and estradiol than the control treatments; however, hormonal levels were higher in treatments with proestrous prolongation. |
