The data were evaluated by ANOVA and Tukey (0.05) with the statistical package InfoStat. The variables evaluated were the weekly weight, weekly-cumulative weight gain, weekly-cumulative food consumption, abdominal fat, leg and peak pigmentation and carcass yield; in none of them were significant differences between treatments. However, the highest T5 values obtained a significant difference in the weekly-cumulative feed conversion parameter with respect to the other treatments 1.53 ± 2.38 g (P value => 0.05) for the weekly weight parameters with 2910 ± 1.06 g, weekly-cumulative weight gain 679 ± 0.02 g and yield of the channel 81.65%. In relation to the benefit-cost, treatments T1, T3 and T5 were superior to the other treatments ($ 0.19, 0.19 and 0.23 respectively). It is concluded that the use of levels of 300mEq / kg of sodium bicarbonate improves the feed conversion in the productive parameters in Cobb 500 chickens. |

Se utilizaron 280 pollos distribuidos en 7 tratamientos: T0 testigo, T1 bicarbonato de sodio (NaHCO3) 240 mili equivalentes (mEq/kg), T2 sesquicarbonato de sodio (S-Carb) (240mEq/kg), T3 NaHCO3 (250mEq/kg), T4 S-Carb (250mEq/kg), T5 NaHCO3 (300mEq/kg) y T6 S-Carb (300mEq/kg) y 5 repeticiones. Los datos se evaluaron mediante ANOVA y Tukey (0,05) con el paquete estadístico InfoStat,. Las variables evaluadas fueron el peso semanal, ganancia de peso semanal-acumulada, consumo de alimento semanal-acumulado, grasa abdominal, pigmentación de patas y pico y rendimiento de la canal; en ninguna de ellas se encontró diferencias significativas entre tratamientos. Sin embargo, los mayores valores el T5 obtuvo diferencia significativa en el parámetro de conversión alimenticia semanal-acumulada con respecto a los demás tratamientos 1,53 ± 2,38 g (Valor P=>0,05). Para los parámetros de peso semanal con 2910 ± 1,06 g, ganancia de peso semanal-acumulada 679 ± 0,02 g y rendimiento de la canal 81,65%. En relación al beneficio-costo los tratamientos T1, T3 y T5 fueron superiores a los otros tratamientos ($ 0,19; 0,19 y 0,23 respectivamente).
