Participación ciudadana en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del cantón Chone, un enfoque desde los derechos públicos ciudadanos

This work evaluates citizen participation in the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government of Chone canton from the perspective of citizen public rights. The same one that focused on citizen participation in public management, in compliance with the public rights assumed by the institution through those responsible for this function. In order to comply with the general objective, in the first place, information collection tools were applied, such as the structured interview and applied to the Department of Citizen Participation of Social Control (PCCS), later for the diagnosis, a correlation was made between the two variables to be studied applying the survey technique, for which a questionnaire model was used through dimensions and indicators with Likert-type scales, finally, the shortcomings were identified during the investigation that served in the elaboration, design and socialization of the improvement plan for the proposition of corrective solutions. The statistical results and the quantitative findings allowed to conclude that the mechanisms have not been used adequately, as only a few are promoted within the management of the GAD, the others are not applied in their entirety. In short, an improvement proposal is designed and presented to solve the problems encountered.
