Diseño de una hostería ecológica en el desarrollo del turismo rural del sitio Guabal, cantón Bolívar

For the development of this research, definitions related to ecology and hostelling were analyzed. In order to structure the methodology, the project of Vera (2012) and Cisneros (2005) were studied. A situational diagnosis of the Guabal community was elaborated, and the application of the SWOT analysis was carried out. The local demand for the Eco-lodge, was analyzed and also the foreign potential tourists. Apart from this, the competence was identified and studied, which finally ended up being the Organic Farm Sarita. At the same time, a technical study and the localization of the project was conducted. For the engineering of the Eco-lodge, the infrastructure that comprises all the operational areas for its optimal functionality was determined. General and administrative organization of the company was incorporated with the design of functional administrative organizational chart. Moreover, the environmental and economic feasibility of the eco-lodge was determined; for the environmental viability the matrix of Leopold was used to detecting the negative impacts of the project designed and to define the environmental management plan through a program design. For economic viability, a loan for the financing of the eco-lodge was proposed, and the budget of income and expenses were calculated, while the financial and economic evaluation was carried out. Finally, the current net value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR) was determined.
