Izvleček:The general objective of this research was to design an agrotourism product as an axis that enhances local sustainable development in the La Esperanza site, Bolívar canton, Manabí province. It was based on determining the agricultural resources and tourist facilities of the study area, existing resources whether natural or cultural, through the hierarchy of attractiveness tab of MINTUR. The SWOT diagnosis was made, which determined that the main strengths are focused on tourism resources with great potential, and the main weakness is the lack of tourist offer. The synthetic analytical method was used and field observation as a technique. A market study was carried out analyzing supply, demand and competition, which allowed to define the indicators that influence the perception of visitors towards agro-tourism products and services. An experimental tour was carried out, using the survey technique which reflected the perception of the tourist. Subsequently, the product was designed with the existing resources and the elements so that it can be recognized as such, which was classified into 3 packages (Individual-Half day-Full day). An action plan was drawn up that will contribute to the socioeconomic and tourist progress of the La Esperanza site and, finally, the strategies for the dissemination and commercialization of the product were established. It was found that the Esperanza together with the dam is an area with an important diversity of natural and cultural resources that together with the agricultural production of the area would obtain a good agro-tourism development in the study area. One of the main drawbacks to the development of this product is the lack of tourism infrastructure, development plans, lack of management, and the limited resources available to the local government that prevent the tourist development of the area.
