Zusammenfassung:The objective of this study was to evaluate the addition of three doses of vitamin C (Vit C) to diluent BTS (Beltsville Thawing Solution Laboratory Zoitechlab, USA), on seminal quality parameters, agglutination, viability, motility and mortality of fresh semen pig. one race Yorkshire 30 months old player was collected, four treatments with seven replicates (28 samples) were applied which consisted of: [T1: no addition (Control, Androstar® Plus), T2: +0.02 mg Vit BTS C T3: BTS +0.04 mg Vit C), T4 (BTS +0.06 mg Vit C on mL of semen). All data were analyzed using SAS 9.4 statistical package (2004). The results showed that for agglutination variable to a large effect (P <0.01) was found for the 0.02 mg Vit C / mL, treatments 0.02 mg / mL and 0.04 mg / mL Vit C showed superior effect on viability. Motility was greater (P <0.01) in the dose of 0.02 mg / mL Vit C than the other treatments. In addition to varying mortality significant (P <0.01) were found; while treatment with 0.06 mg / mL Vit C presented major defects at the end of the test. The variables temperature, humidity and pH indicators semen quality were similar between treatments (P> 0.05). It is concluded that the addition of vitamin C at doses of 0.02 mg / mL including the BTS diluent, has positive effects on the shelf life of the pig semen allowing its commercial use to field.
