要約:The research project was developed with the purpose of developing a strategic plan that contributes to the reactivation of the Manta tourism sector after the Covid-19 pandemic, it was a bibliographic-documentary and field type research, with a mixed approach, composed of three phases. In the first phase, the territory was diagnosed through area’s characterization and analyzing the situation of tourist companies, as well as the perception of the tourist, to know the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the destination. In the second phase, guidelines and key objectives were defined through two planning models, according to the reality of the canton. In the third phase, the strategic plan was structured with the mission, vision and strategic objectives, also programs and projects focused on sustainable reactivation were determined. This study presents the following relevant results, it was evidenced that 56,9% of tourists would be willing to visit the city, taking due precautions for the spread of Covid-19, additionally, the proposed axes in the National Plan of Tourism 2030 and the Reactivation Tourist Plan 2020 include aspects like the digitization, quality, connectivity, tourism security, among others, and the six strategic guidelines presented, are focused on the trust, innovation, environmental awareness, promotion and offer diversification. Finally, this plan is made up of three strategic objectives, offers nine programs, and 36 projects with new tourism alternatives, based on principles of sustainability, strengthening the tourist dynamism to attract investment and flow of tourists, achieving the economic reactivation of Manta.
