Centro de operaciones turísticas que fortalezca los emprendimientos en la zona de influencia de la represa Sixto Durán Ballén

The purpose of this research was the development of a business plan for the implementation of a tourist operations center that strengthens the ventures in the area of the Sixto Duran Ballén dam; The type of research is descriptive-exploratory with a qualitative and quantitative approach, consisting of four phases. In the first instance, a study of the economic, sociocultural, environmental and tourist components was carried out, where it was determined that a large part of the population is engaged in agricultural activities. In the second phase, the technical study was carried out, which through participatory workshops identified key partners, local enterprises, the community and the parish government. In the third phase, legal aspects for the operation of the company were determined, consequently, the segment that allowed the elaboration of three tours based on nature, culture and leisure was defined. Finally, the feasibility of the "La Esperanza" operations center was evaluated, it was established that the investment to start the project is $23,302.03, where 40% is contributed by the community and 60% through BANECUADOR. It is important to highlight the economic viability of the project, since the results allowed us to establish that there is a positive NPV and an IRR of 67%, determining that it is a profitable business. The investigation showed that the Sixto Durán Ballén dam has adequate conditions for the development of rural tourism and the generation of enterprises linked to this activity.
