Резюме:In the course of time, water resources are becoming increasingly scarce; therefore, the agricultural sector, being the largest consumer of water, is forced to optimize its efficiency. Under this premise, the present research work was developed with the objective of evaluating irrigation methodologies on the agro-productive response of corn (Zea mays) in Bolivar Canton, Manabi; different deficit irrigation methodologies were evaluated: optimized deficit irrigation by stages (ORDI) and partial root drying (PRD), forming the following treatments: T1: control treatment without deficit, T2: ORDI 50 %, T3 ORDI 50 % + PRD 1 week, T4 ORDI 50 % + PRD 2 weeks, T5 ORDI 50 % 1 week, T6: ORDI 50 % 2 weeks; using a completely randomized block design (DBCA), with a total of 24 experimental units; for which variables of agro-productive behavior were evaluated; among the most relevant results, it was obtained that treatments 1 and 2, presented the highest agro-productive yields, reaching an average yield of 8.81 and 7.37 Mg/ha-1 of dry hard corn respectively; In terms of water productivity, T2 and T5 showed the highest productivity with an average value of 38.39 and 36.66 kg/mm, respectively, thus making the most efficient use of water in relation to the other treatments.
