| description | The objective of the present investigation was to take advantage of semi-solid residues (excreta and rumen) by biodigestor at a pilot scale for the production of biogas in the municipal outlet of Calceta. Three treatments were performed with three repetitions resulting in a total equivalent to nine experimental units. The first phase of the study included a diagnosis of the amount of semi-solid waste from the Calceta municipal camal; which included technical visits, quantification of semi-solid waste. In phase two, the efficiency of biogas production was determined; for this, the mixture of semisolid wastes in different proportions was made (20, 30 and 40% of rumen and bovine and porcine manure). Finally, the cost of the alternative was estimated through the best treatment. The result was a production of bovine manure of 540 kg / wk and swine manure of 206 kg / wk. The amount of rumen generated in a week is 720 kg / week. The initial pH showed an acidic tendency (5.36-6.68) and at 30 days it reached optimal ranges (6.6-7.9). The SVs achieved a removal efficiency of 39.95% (20% rumen), 67.57% (30% rumen) and 77.80% (40% rumen). Concentrations at 30 and 40% experienced a removal of 29.66% and 25.91%, respectively, for COD. A significant difference (p <0.05) was found between the levels of biogas production, methane concentration, COD, and SV for the three treatments (20, 30 and 40% rumen). The biodigester at 40% of rumen presents a higher efficiency; that allows to verify the hypothesis raised. |

Se realizó tres tratamientos con tres repeticiones dando como resultado un total equivalente a 9 unidades experimentales. La primera fase del estudio comprendió un diagnóstico de la cantidad de residuos semi-sólidos provenientes del camal municipal de Calceta; que comprendió visitas técnicas, cuantificación de residuos semisólidos. En la fase dos, se determinó la eficiencia de la producción de biogás; para esto, se realizó la mezcla de los residuos semisólidos en diferentes proporciones (20, 30 y 40% de rumen y estiércol bovino y porcino). Finalmente, se estimó el costo de la alternativa a través del mejor tratamiento. Se obtuvo como resultado una producción de estiércol bovino de 540 kg/sem y estiércol porcino de 206 kg/sem. La cantidad de rumen generada en una semana es de 720 kg/sem. El pH inicial presentó una tendencia ácida (5,36-6,68) y a los 30 días alcanzó rangos óptimos (6,6-7,9). Los SV alcanzaron una eficiencia de remoción de 39,95% (20% rumen), 67,57% (30% rumen) y 77,80% (40% rumen). Las concentraciones al 30 y 40% experimentaron una remoción de 29,66% y 25,91%, respectivamente para la DQO. Se encontró diferencia significativa (p<0,05) entre los niveles de producción de biogás, concentración de metano, DQO, y SV para los tres tratamientos (20, 30 y 40% de rumen).
