The total laurel carbon capture was 1.45 (Ton / ha) and the guachapelí was 0.56 (Ton / ha), which reflects that the laurel is the specie that captures the most carbon in the study area. Taking into account the species with the highest uptake (Cordia alliodora) for the proposal of the reforestation plan using the following strategies that include: agroforestry systems with natural form, grass and tree systems in natural regeneration, management of live fences and seed bank. |

Taking into account the species with the highest uptake (Cordia alliodora) for the proposal of the reforestation plan using the following strategies that include: agroforestry systems with natural form, grass and tree systems in natural regeneration, management of live fences and seed bank.La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad estimar la captura de carbono en las especies laurel (Cordia alliodora) y guachapelí (Albizia guachapele) como servicio ambiental para un plan de reforestación, para la caracterización de las especies en mención; se empleó la metodología de Villa (2005) la cual consiste en medir el diámetro de las especies mayores de 10 cm en transectos de 50 m por 100 m, para determinar la tasa de captura de carbono se aplicó las metodologías de Ríos (2012), Pazmiño & Pinargote (2018) y Rugnitz y Porro (2011), las cuales permitieron medir la altura, diámetro y el área basal de las especies en comparación, el área de estudio fue de 1 ha, en la cual se logró registrar como especie en abundancia al guachapelí con 20 individuos equivalentes al 28% en el transecto 1 y 17 individuos que representan el 20% en el transecto 2; destacándose el transecto 1 como el de mayor cantidad de individuos. El total de captura de carbono de laurel fue de 1,45 (Ton/ha) y el guachapelí de 0,56 (Ton/ha), la cual refleja que el laurel es la especie que captura más carbono en el área de estudio.
