Factibilidad para la instalación de una microempresa procesadora de compota de banano (Musa sapientum) en el cantón Bolívar.

In order to determine the feasibility of installing a small business for processing banana compote (Musa sapientum) in Bolivar Canton, a market research was conducted using data from INEC 2010 by obtaining a sample of 424 for the implementation of targeted surveys to parents of children between 0 to 5 years old and caregivers of older adults in Bolívar, Manta and Portoviejo cantons, reaching a 87% acceptance and demand of 80.069,76 kg/month, in the technical study the size and distribution of various areas of the plant considering a total of 140 m2, where it can produce 200 kg/day was established, the installed machinery and equipment capacity is fixed, the availability and cost of raw materials, which was obtained at $ 0,03/kg; using the matrix of Leopold to analyze environmental impacts of the project show 28 positive and 22 negative impacts of medium intensity, with most in the construction phase of low intensity, showing that the implementation of this business will not affect the environmental resources of the area, to determine the viability of the project Net Present Value (NPV) of $ 274.934,25 was calculated, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) with 35%, the Period of Return on Investment (PRI) was 4,36 years and the balance point at 66,66%, the project feasibility is demonstrated.
