Descripción
Summary:The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of ecological insecticides on the control of pest insects in cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) cultivation at ESPAM MFL. The experiment was developed in the organic area of the agricultural career, located at the El Limón site belonging to the Bolívar Canton, Manabí province. A randomized complete block design (DBCA) with factorial arrangement (a+1) was used, with three replications, with a total of 21 experimental units. The treatments evaluated were T1: Azadirachtin (8 dds), T2: Azadirachtin (15 dds), T3: Allium sativum extract (8 dds), T4: Allium sativum extract (15 dds), T5: Azadirachtin + Allium sativum extract (8 dds). ), T6: Azadirachtin + Allium sativum Extract (15dds); and T7 control treatment. Treatment T2 (Azadirachtin 15 days) presented a lower incidence of Empoasca ssp, with 11.33% followed by T6 (Azadirachtin + Allium Extract 15 days) with 11.67% compared to the control that presented a percentage of 22.87%. In addition, treatments T3 and T5 also presented a lower percentage in the reduction of Aphis ssp. and Lyriomiza ssp; The treatment that showed the highest average production was T4 with 10.40 pods/plant followed by T3 with 10.27 pods/plant.
