However, a significant difference was found that shows that the presence of the parasite in the adult state in the urine of pigs is dependent on sex and age (p = 0.01). The results show that there is a prevalence of the parasite Stephanurus dentatus in the adult, nymph and egg stages in the urine of pigs slaughtered in the Bahía de Caráquez municipal slaughterhouse, Sucre canton. |

Se utilizó análisis de frecuencias absolutas, frecuencias esperadas bajo independencia y el valor de Chi cuadrado con un nivel de significancia de 0,05% mediante el paquete estadístico InfoStat versión 2020; los resultados muestran que no existe dependencia de la presencia del estadio adulto del parásito en la orina debido a la edad y al sistema de crianza, tampoco se encontró que la presencia de ninfa en la orina, dependa de la edad, sistemas de producción y sexo de los cerdos. Sin embargo, se halló diferencia significativa que demuestra que la presencia del parásito en estado adulto en la orina de los cerdos es dependiente del sexo y la edad (p = 0,01).
