| description | The present research was carried out in Tosagua canton with the purpose of evaluating the management and purge of assets in the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Tosagua during 2014, to strengthen the control of these assets. Methods for information collection were used: historical, descriptive, qualitative and quantitative, allowing to carry out the objectives that helped search for information regarding the subject of study. To identify the process an interview was applied to the head of the financial department who indicated the procedure that is carried out to execute the management and purge of fixed assets and with this information make flow diagrams and execute the verification of the Registration procedures and forms executed in the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Tosagua based on legal regulations. After the identification of the process, the validation was elaborated through evidences of the system and by forms, minutes of the process that the municipal government developed during 2014 according to the General Regulation for the Administration, Use and Control of Goods in Public Sector in compliance with current regulations |

Para cumplir con lo planteado se utilizó los métodos de recopilación de información: histórico, descriptivo, cualitativo y cuantitativo, permitiendo llevar a cabo los objetivos que ayudaron a la búsqueda de información en lo que concierne al tema de estudio. Para identificar el proceso, se aplicó la técnica de la entrevista realizada al jefe del departamento financiero quien indicó el procedimiento que se lleva para ejecutar el manejo y depuración de los activos fijos y con esta información realizar los diagramas de flujos y ejecutar la comprobación de los procedimientos de registros y formularios ejecutados en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del cantón Tosagua en base a la normativa legal.
