الملخص: | The present investigation evaluated the life and health of the soil in La Pita site, assessing the amendment achieved in some soil samples with the application of a balanced compost based on grasses and legumes, for which a completely randomized design was established (DBCA), Factor A corresponded to the type of soil according to the crop (Cocoa and Coffee), B to the proposed treatments (legumes and grasses) and their interaction (T1 = 70% pueraria + 30% Savoy and T2 = 30% pueraria + 70% savoy in both cases of cultivation). Its efficiency was determined with chromatographic analysis of the pre and post amendment samples, after the amendment was applied. The results show in the pre-amendment phase that there is low nutritional availability, poor evolution of radiation, and low microbial activity, while in post-amendment samples there is an improvement in aeration and in the reduction of compaction caused by animals, as well as high biological and oxidation activity. It is concluded that the analysis of the samples corresponding to the coffee and cocoa crops established in the sloping areas, presented low levels of nutrients against the soils of the crops in flat areas and that the use of grasses and legumes in the form of compost as an amendment of the soils, it notably favors the presence of advantageous elements in the compost for the obtaining of nutrients, which improves the quality of the soil remarkably. |
