After analyzing the parameters, we proceeded with the comparison of the maximum permissible limits stipulated in the INEN 1108: 2020 and the TULSMA, showing that the results in the collection stage, the majority comply with what is allowed except for BOD5, while in the treatment and distribution stages if they comply with what is agreed to in the regulations. In determining the ICA, it was found that the water from Rocafuerte canton at the catchment point has a medium quality criterion with a value of 67.06 and in the treatment and distribution stages they showed good quality with results from 71.36 to 78.01. |

In determining the ICA, it was found that the water from Rocafuerte canton at the catchment point has a medium quality criterion with a value of 67.06 and in the treatment and distribution stages they showed good quality with results from 71.36 to 78.01.El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la calidad del agua para consumo humano y uso doméstico en el cantón Rocafuerte de la provincia de Manabí mediante la evaluación de los parámetros fisicoquímicos y microbiológicos, para lo cual se realizó la toma de muestras en cinco puntos divididos en dos áreas, la primera en la Planta Potabilizadora de Agua (captación y tratamiento) ubicada en el comunidad Valdez y la segunda en las viviendas de las comunidades de California, Guabital y Horcón (distribución), empleándose el método probabilístico aleatorio bajo proporción muestreal. Luego de analizar los parámetros se procedió con la comparación de los límites máximos permisibles estipulados en el INEN 1108:2020 y el TULSMA, evidenciando que los resultados en la etapa de captación, la mayoría cumple con lo permitido a excepción del DBO5, mientras que en las etapas de tratamiento y distribución si cumplen lo acordado a la normativa.
