The methodologies applied were the analytical, deductive and inductive scientific method, this led to the use of techniques such as the survey, the interview and the observation, as well as the pertinent and relevant scientific information to achieve the proposed objectives. Diagnosis that allowed to identify the risks of greater occurrence that occur in the studied area such as ergonomic, chemical and biological risks. In the field study, compliance with health and safety regulations was observed prior to entering the ICU area; among which you could point out thorough hand washing, the use of bio-protection equipment, among others. Based on the results found, an improvement plan was drawn up that will help mitigate the risks identified. |

Based on the results found, an improvement plan was drawn up that will help mitigate the risks identified.Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo diagnosticar los riesgos laborales del personal que trabaja en la unidad de cuidado intensivos (UCI) del Hospital Dr. Napoleón Dávila Córdova del cantón Chone. Las metodologías aplicadas fueron el método analítico, científico deductivo e inductivo, esto dio lugar a utilizar técnicas como la encuesta, la entrevista y la observación, así como la información científica pertinente y relevante para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos. Diagnóstico que permitió identificar las inseguridades de mayor ocurrencia que se presentan en el área estudiada, tales como los de carácter ergonómico, químico y biológico. En el estudio de campo se observó el cumplimiento de normas de seguridad y salud previo el ingreso al área de UCI, entre los cuales podrías señalar el lavado de manos a profundidad, el uso del equipo de bio-protección, entre otros.
