Samenvatting:The research work presented below details the process of executing the main objective, being this, the determination of the capital structure of the banking financial institutions of Ecuador for the analysis of its economic impact, where it was decided to resort to different types of research, methods, techniques and tools, which contributed to the development of this research, the Spearman correlation technique, through this one, it was possible to observe the representations of information where similarities were established; in the tools, the SPSS software also contributed to the realization of the data analysis and the association of the variables under study. In the execution of the phases, the first thing that was done was a database through the platform of the Superintendency of Banks, to acquire better information about the movements of the banking institutions, where 21 banks were studied, after this carried out the Delphi method, to validate the experts and determine the indicators for the capital structure. In addition, the leverage variables were correlated through the Spearman Test being 1.00 which means large positive correlation; finally, it was concluded with the respective conclusions and recommendations associated with the 3 objectives set out in this investigation.
