Diagnóstico del funcionamiento operativo del aeropuerto internacional Eloy Alfaro de Manta

The objective of this research was to diagnose the operation of Eloy Alfaro International Airport of Manta using the correct methodology for the development of this study. This work was based on the achievement of three phases for obtaining results in the first phase of an internal and external analysis of the current situation of the Manta Airport was held; the second phase was to assess the operational performance of the airport and the last stage was to design an improvement plan that contributes to the operational functioning of the airport. In the progress of research was necessary to use some techniques such as: observation, it was used to visualize areas involved in the operations are carried out at the airfield, an interview to the airport manager to compile corresponding primary information under study the SWOT provided to identify internal and external factors of the air terminal and the benchmarking established an operational comparison between the airports of Quito and Manta. To know the reasons that limit the development of the operational activities was essential to use of the comprehensive index, through the proposed indicators could assess and measure the performance of the operating functioning of the aerodrome, which reflected that the installation and equipment available, the quality of user services and the charge activity are the factors that affect this operation, thus proposing an improvement plan that contributes to the potentiation of the activities of Eloy Alfaro airport.
