Evaluación de la participación ciudadana en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del cantón Junín

Citizen participation is considered as that right that the population has to be able to participate together with local authorities on crucial decisions in a certain territory, in this particular case, it was sought to evaluate citizen participation in the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government in Junín canton to promote effective public management in the 2019-2023 period; to comply with what was stated, the inductive, deductive and analytical-synthetic methods were used, in addition to this, data collection instruments were used, these being the survey and the interview, which were applied to important figures in the investigation within Junín canton, and to complement all this, bibliographic, field, exploratory and descriptive research was used; and finally, as a result of the work carried out, a very low level of participation in aspects of citizen participation is exhibited by the citizens, the causes of this being the lack of training, lack of interest and little time; on the other hand, although the government of Junín gives opening, it is not possible to carry out concrete actions that allow to make way towards an authentic citizen participation; that is why, in order to combat the situation that the government in Junín is experiencing, an improvement plan was proposed, where actions were taken that will allow real and active citizen participation to be achieved, which as an additional, in a medium period of time , will lead to the resources delivered to the cantonal government in Junín, being optimized and prioritized.
