Summary:This research has the overall objective to design a strategic plan for tourism development in Silver Stone, Pichincha Region, province of Manabí; the information gathered was obtained through literature and field research, for which three specific objectives were raised. It was identified that the problem that prevents the promotion of tourism in Silver Stone is the poor development of tourism due to various components such as non-existent tourist infrastructure, inadequate signage and lack of tourist potential. As for results, the first phase was determined through participatory, external and competitive diagnosis, using tools such as evaluation matrices of external factors, internal factors evaluation, competitive profile and SWOT matrix, confirming the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; in the study phase of a nonexistent market tourism in the community was found; On the demand of the visitor profile was established, determining their tastes and preferences in the development of tourism in rural areas; the design phase and phase strategies of control and monitoring is based on analyzing the results of the first phase, as SWOT analysis and study of PLANDETUR. In conclusion strategies were established according to the tourism situation Silver Stone, so thirteen eight programs and projects with reference to the methodology proposed in the PLANDETUR 2020 and the results of research are proposed.
