| description | The objective of this study was to assess the virtual channels and the quality of public services in tax collection in the Municipal GAD in Chone canton in the year 2021. The methodological treatment was based on a non-experimental type of research: deductive, analytical, comparative and field research. Two instruments were applied, on the one hand, an interview with the departmental head, to identify the main virtual channels used by the institution; on the other hand, a survey to determine the level of acceptance and satisfaction that users have about said service. The results showed that there is a significant level of dissatisfaction, given that the collection department only uses social networks during the first weeks of the year, progressively decreasing. It is concluded that there is a need to propose timely and feasible solutions to the problems detected in the Municipal GAD in Chone regarding its virtual channels and the quality of its services, an improvement plan with clear goals and strategies was designed. |

El tratamiento metodológico se basó en una investigación de tipo no experimental: deductivo, analítico y comparativo e investigación de campo. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos, por un lado, una entrevista al jefe departamental, para identificar los principales canales virtuales que usa la institución; por otro lado, una encuesta para determinar el nivel de aceptación y satisfacción que los usuarios tienen sobre dicho servicio. Los resultados mostraron que existe un importante nivel de insatisfacción, dado que el departamento de recaudación solo hace uso de las redes sociales durante las primeras semanas del año, disminuyendo progresivamente.
