总结:The water resource present in the Caña micro-basin, Bolívar canton, Manabí province is of great importance for the socio-productive development in the area, therefore the general objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of agricultural activities on water consumption in the Caña river micro-basin for the assessment of environmental sustainability, the methodology used was taken from the manual The Water Footprint Assessment by Hoekstra and collaborators (2011) where procedures are proposed through mathematical equations in order to obtain the evaluation of the water footprint in the investigated micro-basin, the results of the agricultural activities showed a green water footprint of 739785.90 m3, considering the natural availability of 275324.7 m3 per year, the consumption of water in agro-productive activities, denote an imbalance, this being a state of alert with regarding a high agricultural water footprint, with these values it is possible to obtain results at the end of the investigation, applying the methodology procedure, the water consumption of agricultural activities was divided over the natural availability, resulting in a water footprint sustainability with an annual value of 2.69 in the Caña River micro-basin, this result led to the methodology of the evaluation of the water footprint with a value > 1; significant result, which reflects the imbalance that the micro-basin has in terms of natural availability versus the management of water resources in agricultural activities, denoting the imbalance of the sustainability of the Caña micro-basin.
