Resumo:The purpose of this research was to evaluate the influence of Environmental Education on the protection and reforestation of the Mosca river micro-basin of the Moralito community, Junín-Manabí, through a questionnaire the initial performance level of the community was determined Moralito, considering a sample of 56 people. Land use and deforestation maps were executed for the years 2018 and 2020, it was obtained that the deforested area in 2018 was 66.17 ha (58%) for 2020 was 67.37 ha (59%) and the Non-deforested area in 2018 was 48.02 ha (42%) and in 2020, said area was 46.82 ha (41%). Deforestation in the Mosca river micro-basin in these years was -1.26%, indicating that there is a loss of tree species every year. An interview was carried out with the community leaders, who suggested that the techniques that would help to promote environmental awareness are dialogue and training, in the analysis of the SWOT matrix, strategies were established for the community to carry out activities of reforestation and environmental care, proposing an environmental education program managing as a strategy the reforestation of the Mosca river micro-basin. Initially, the level of excellent performance was 39% and an initial performance of 41%, while in the final performance it was 71% considered excellent, and 8% had an initial performance, showing that there was an increase in the environmental knowledge of the dwellers.
