Achoimre: | The present study evaluated the influence of the agricultural activities of the Brachiaria arrecta and Brachiaria Decumbens crops on the physical-chemical quality of the ground in the Matapalo community in the Bolivar canton. During the development of the research, the method of direct observation and surveys was used to determine the agricultural activities associated with grass cultivation, then a random sampling was carried out trough transects which helped in the soil physical analysis, whereby It was possible to analyze the characteristics and establish a program of environmental strategies. The survey was able to determine that the highest land use is determined in the low zone because of the Brachiaria arrecta grass and in the middle-high area by Brachiaria decumbens grass. And it also, emerged, that the most common agricultural activities are: sowing, burning of agricultural residues, fertilization through the use of amides and pest control through the use of herbicides such as glyphosate. The samples analyzed at the Laboratory of Soils, Plant Tissues and Water belonging to the INIAP Institute- Pichilingue Experimental Station determined a variation in the study parameters, both of physical and chemical such as texture, bulk density and the pH, P, Fe, Ca y S. With the results obtained, a program of strategies was proposed, which establishes improvements from the point of view of the environmental quality of the soil applied to the agricultural activities associated with the cultivation of grass in order to mitigate the actions that lead to the loss of nutrients and influence into the fertility in the soil. |
