总结:The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of exposure to liquid nitrogen on seeds with long dormancy and their subsequent early growth. The experiment was developed in the nursery of the Agricultural Engineering career of ESPAM MFL from July to November 2020. The treatments evaluated were: with immersion of seeds in liquid Nitrogen (T1) and without immersion of seeds in liquid Nitrogen (T2). The "Student's t" distribution was used. Each treatment consisted of 10 replicates and 20 experimental units. The main variables recorded were Plant height (cm), Stem diameter (mm), Number of leaves, root length (cm) and Weight of aerial biomass (g). The results of this research determined that the seeds immersed in liquid nitrogen (LN) increased the percentage of germination of Tamarind seeds and showed greater significant differences (p <0.05) in root length and weight of aerial biomass in the treatment. With seed immersion in (LN). Likewise, this treatment in tamarind seeds with LN promoted an increase in the growth rate at 30 days after germination (DAG) and the diameter of the stem and the number of leaves at 90 DAG. On the other hand, the immersion in LN did not help to break the dormancy of the Teak and Melina seeds, for that reason they did not germinate. Immersion influences germination in Tamarindo seeds, this validates the usefulness of LN in the cultivation of Tamarindo.
