The results show that the administration of FSH was significantly superior (p<0.0001) to the control treatment, presenting greater quantities of stimulated follicles, viable oocytes and transferable embryos. In addition, the group of cows treated with FSH showed a better profitability through the cost/benefit ratio, since the income from the production of embryos considerably exceeded the costs associated with the experimentation. According to the results obtained, it can be observed that the implementation of FSH for ovarian stimulation presents significant and financially profitable results, so it is suggested to consider the use of this protocol to optimize the results in bovine reproduction programs. |

Para su determinación se desplegó un diseño experimental Cross Over, en el cual se trataron 25 vacas cíclicas de razas cebuinas, con un peso promedio de 350 kg, condición corporal de 3 a 3,5 y una edad promedio de 36 a 50 meses, mismas que pasaron por ambos grupos experimentales (con y sin tratamiento), en complemento, se determinaron los parámetros de las variables de estudio mediante modelos lineales generalizados mixtos, con un nivel de significancia del 5 %. Los resultados muestran que la administración de FSH fue significativamente superior (p<0,0001) al tratamiento control, al presentar mayores cantidades de folículos estimulados, de ovocitos viables y embriones transferibles, además, el grupo de vacas tratadas con FSH, presentó una mejor rentabilidad a través de la relación costo/beneficio, dado que los ingresos por la producción de embriones superaron considerablemente a los costos asociados a la experimentación.
