Descripción
Summary:The objective of this research was to analyze the equity and gender equality of public servants (men and women) of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Tosagua canton in the period 2023, so that the existence of an inclusive and fair work environment is guaranteed. In its achievement, the inductive, deductive and analytical-synthetic methods and the types of bibliographic and field research were applied, in terms of data collection, the interview techniques applied to the authorities of this institution and the survey to the officials of the same, using the Likert scale and the Servqual model. The results demonstrate that the GAD's gender equity and equality is regulated through the Constitution, the LOSEP and the Organic Law for Equal Pay between Men and Women. The articles that make up these laws highlight the importance of guaranteeing equity in the selection processes and access to public positions, as well as the inclusion of women on equal terms. Furthermore, within this institution there is no regulation, ordinance or internal policy that is based on the aforementioned legislation. Likewise, there is no promotion of internal contraction policies focused on the criteria of equity and gender equality, and a lack of measures to prevent and address cases of harassment or gender discrimination in the institution is highlighted. With these findings, a proposal for an action plan is structured.
