The experimental units were six poultry farms located within the area of Cantón Bolívar. The variables evaluated by non-parametric analysis were the characteristics of farm management and chicken rearing, ammonia levels and the percentage of morbidity due to respiratory diseases. As a main result and in relation to the characterization, it was obtained that almost all farms use the same management and raising of chickens. On the other hand, the ammonia emission levels in all the farms did not exceed 13 ppm, so they were low and comply with the established limit (<20 ppm). Finally, farms five and three presented the highest percentages of morbidity within the present study, however, this morbidity is within low standards. |

Finally, farms five and three presented the highest percentages of morbidity within the present study, however, this morbidity is within low standards.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo diagnosticar los niveles de emisión de amoníaco en granjas de pollos Boiler registradas tanto en AGROCALIDAD y el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del cantón Bolívar, ubicado en la provincia de Manabí. El factor en estudio fue la valoración de amoníaco en cada una de las granjas. Como parte del diagnóstico se realizó una encuesta. Las muestras fueron seis granjas avícolas ubicadas dentro del área del Cantón Bolívar. Las variables evaluadas mediante estadística no paramétrica de análisis de varianza de Kruskal-Wallis fueron las características de manejo de las granjas y crianza de pollos, los niveles de amoníaco y el porcentaje de morbilidad por afecciones respiratorias. Como principal resultado y en relación a la caracterización se obtuvo que casi todas las granjas emplean el mismo manejo y crianza de los pollos por la cual no se encontró diferencia en las granjas evaluadas. Por otra parte, los niveles de emisión de amoníaco en todas las granjas no superaron las 13 ppm, por lo que fueron bajos y cumplen con el límite establecido por otras investigaciones similares (<20 ppm).
