Итог:The proposed work is focused specifically on the implementation of a Cloud Computing model of infrastructure as a service in the GAD of Tosagua City, in order to significantly improve the use of services and optimize computing resources. To comply with the main objective of the work, the current infrastructure was characterized through an interview where the services provided by the institution were identified, in order to identify the parameters that could be improved. After this, an infrastructure model was developed to be implemented and the respective configuration and implementation was carried out. For this purpose, the virtualization software Vmware in its esxi 5.1 version was used, which contains the virtual machines for each service offered by the municipality, together with the operating systems on the storage servers where the information shared on the network will be housed. In this way it was possible to obtain a considerable saving of energy consumption estimated of 64.32% (since fewer physical servers are needed) and a 75% reduction in economic costs, without counting the decrease with respect to other computing resources (devices, network materials). In terms of time, it improved positively the response to the requirements for each of the departments in the use of the services; achieving the high availability of services and allowing the optimization of resources.
