| description | The objective of this study is to know the current state of the functions of technological innovation for the direction of actions that allow the improvement of the management of the Mantahost Hotel. The research is descriptive and explanatory with a mixed approach (qualitative-quantitative). The research process consists of three stages, the first one focused on the diagnosis of the current situation of the hotel allowing to determine its general characteristics, the current state of IT, the definition of the technological innovation functions developed in the company and its elements, mechanisms and actions carried out and their situation in the face of competition. In this phase the analysis and synthesis method, the interview technique and instruments such as the characterization sheet, Ishikawa diagram and matrix of the competitive profile were used. In the second phase, a list of indicators associated with IT functions was selected and validated through the experts method. Finally, the indicators associated with technological innovation functions were evaluated using the method of analysis and synthesis and the descriptive one. Once the results of the study were obtained, a Technological Development Plan was developed, which includes 10 improvement actions for the weak points identified in the evaluation. |

La investigación es de carácter descriptiva y explicativa con un enfoque mixto (cualitativo-cuantitativo). El proceso investigativo consta de tres etapas, la primera se enfocó en el diagnóstico de la situación actual del hotel permitiendo determinar sus características generales, el estado actual de las IT, la definición de las funciones de innovación tecnológica desarrolladas en la empresa y sus elementos, mecanismos y acciones realizados y su situación frente a la competencia. En esta fase se utilizaron el método de análisis y síntesis, la técnica de la entrevista e instrumentos como la ficha de caracterización, diagrama de Ishikawa y matriz del perfil competitivo. En la fase segunda se seleccionó y validó una lista de indicadores asociadas a las funciones de IT a través del método de expertos. Finalmente, se evaluaron los indicadores asociados a las funciones de innovación tecnológica utilizando el método de análisis y síntesis y el descriptivo.
