Twenty-two poultry were characterized through a semi-structured interview with the managers or managers, from which the information necessary to initiate the investigation was extracted; After this, the homogeneous groups were determined through the cluster analysis and the sample was calculated. Next, the procedure for the identification of organizational competencies was applied, which consisted in creating the group of experts through the Delphi method, and with their judgment, these competencies were determined, which were subjected to evaluation and the gap, which led to an organizational skills manual and a proposal for improvement actions. One of the points that he undoubtedly highlighted is that 68.18% of the poultry farms lack strategic analysis and that men occupy 100% of the managerial positions and the identification of the organizational competencies resulted in that the competencies do not they were at the desired level. |

Los tipos de investigación con los que se trabajó fueron: la investigación de campo, bibliográfica y descriptiva, los cuales se orientaron en un enfoque mixto cuali-cuantitativo y se desarrolló el método inductivo, deductivo y de Delphi; en este proceso fueron aplicadas técnicas como la entrevista, encuesta y análisis de cluster, las dos primeras para recolectar información y la última para realizar el muestro por conglomerados. Fueron caracterizadas 22 avícolas a través de una entrevista semiestructurada a los gerentes o encargados, de donde se extrajo la información necesaria para iniciar la investigación; luego de esto se determinaron los grupos homogéneos a través del análisis de cluster y se calculó la muestra. A continuación se aplicó el procedimiento para la identificación de las competencias organizacionales, el cual consistió en crear el grupo de expertos a través del método de Delphi, y con el juicio de estos se determinaron dichas competencias, que fueron sometidas a evaluación y se determinó la brecha, lo que derivó en un manual de competencias organizacionales y en una propuesta de acciones de mejoras.
