| description | The main objective of this research was to design strategic ecotourism guidelines for the protected area "Lalo Loor Dry Forest in Jama". Three phases were developed. In the first one, a tourist diagnosis was elaborated, where the socioenvironmental characterization of the place was carried out highlighting the biotic, abiotic and biodiversity elements; tools such as technical visits, diagnostic files, tourist inventory cards, interviews and surveys were used. As a result, the three zones that make up the forest (sustainable zone-environmental recovery, tourist zone and productive-public area) were established as a result of the GIS program, using satellite imagery and the application of georeferencing. In addition, a tourist inventory was developed that identified the main natural and cultural resources. To evaluate the tourist situation, a strategic diagnosis was used to determine the main internal and external factors that influence the area of the Lalo Loor protective forest. A market analysis was carried out, through surveys evaluating supply, demand and competitors. In the second phase, the strategic guidelines for ecotourism development were designed for the mission, vision, values, objectives, policies, programs and projects that strengthen ecotourism in the area of study. |

In the second phase, the strategic guidelines for ecotourism development were designed for the mission, vision, values, objectives, policies, programs and projects that strengthen ecotourism in the area of study.La investigación tiene como objetivo principal proponer lineamientos estratégicos ecoturísticos para el “Bosque Seco Lalo Loor en Jama”. Esta investigación es de tipo cualitativa con enfoques exploratorio/descriptivo. Se desarrollaron tres fases; Fase I: Diagnóstico turístico se realizó la caracterización socio-ambiental mediante visitas técnicas, se empleó la ficha de inventario turístico resaltando que el nivel de conservación de bosque es alto, accesibilidad en buen estado, instalaciones; además se analizaron los aspectos biológicos del bosque con 27 especies de orquídeas y 250 hectáreas, mediante las encuestas de determinó el perfil del visitante los cuales el 98% muestran interés por la conservación. En la zonificación turística se utilizaron imágenes satelitales y aplicación de georeferenciación que ayudó en la elaboración del mapa de zonificación diferenciando las tres zonas que conforman el bosque (zona sostenible, turística y productiva-publica). A través del análisis estratégico se determinó como principal fortaleza la conservación de las especies endémicas. Fase II: Elaboración de lineamientos estratégicos para el desarrollo ecoturístico en donde se plantea la misión, visión, valores, objetivos, políticas, programas y proyectos que fortalezcan el ecoturismo en el bosque. Fase III: Programa de seguimiento y control en el que se definió los parámetros de evaluación describiendo los indicadores de control, se desarrollaron fichas de chequeo para cada actividad.
