| description | This research was conducted during the dry season of 2011 in the garden clonal cocoa Agricultural Polytechnic School of Manabí "Félix Manuel López," in order to evaluate the micro sprinkler irrigation system. Was raised as an objective, evaluate the technical efficiency of the irrigation system through proper management to support the increase in current production levels. Evaluations were components of the facility, which made it visually to determine the system status. The uniformity of irrigation on the area to be assessed and installation, reached 50.33 percent and 47.47% respectively. Evaporation losses and achieve a wind drag and 11.49% with respect to the thickness index of gout, a 27.77 obtained, indicating that they are too fine droplets. The optimum operating pressure of the system should be 25 psi and flow rate of 40 l / h. According to the design agronomic irrigation interval should be every day with a time of 21 minutes. |

According to the design agronomic irrigation interval should be every day with a time of 21 minutes.El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la época seca del año 2011 en el jardín clonal de cacao de la Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí “Manuel Félix López”, con el propósito de evaluar el sistema de riego por microaspersión. Se planteó como objetivo, Evaluar la eficacia técnica del sistema de riego, mediante su correcto manejo para favorecer el incremento de los niveles actuales de producción. Las evaluaciones realizadas fueron, componentes de la instalación, que se la efectuó de forma visual, para determinar el estado del sistema. La uniformidad de riego sobre la zona evaluada y de instalación, alcanzaron porcentaje de 50.33 y 47.47 % respectivamente. Las pérdidas por evaporación y arrastre del viento logro un 11,49 % y con respecto al del índice de grosor de gota, obtuvo un 27,77, lo que indica que son gotas demasiadas finas. La presión óptima de funcionamiento del sistema debe ser de 25 psi y el caudal de 40 l/h.
