Description
Résumé:The purpose of this work was to design a tourism management plan for the development in San Antonio parish, Chone canton, being a documentary-bibliographic and field research, with an exploratory-descriptive approach, based on the analytical-synthetic and descriptive methods, which allowed to know the reality of the study area and its impact. Four phases were planned: in the first, a characterization of the territory was carried out to know the state of the parish, in addition to a multidimensional analysis and the application of an actor mapping card; at the same time, 191 surveys were applied to the population of the parish, which served to know the perception regarding tourism. A second phase evaluated the tourism resources through a bibliographic review, field observation and application of the potentialities matrix. A third phase, where they systematized problems and potentialities of the parish through a SWOT analysis, EFI, EFE, internal and external matrices. And a fourth phase, which designed a tourism management plan using matrices and maps. It was determined that San Antonio has limitations in its local development due to a lack of support in the development of strategies by the competent GADs. There is also a lack of services for the generation of tourism activities and difficulties in accessibility to resources. This tourism management plan presents viable strategies, programs and projects that will contribute to improving the living conditions of the inhabitants and strengthening territorial tourism development.
