description El Instituto Los Andes is located in Pillaro town in the province of Tungurahua; it is a public educational institution, in which there are 1600 students from the elementary until the third year of Bachillerato. The objectives of this research project have been built with the help of technology as the Digital Story Telling in order to get an integral solution to the low development of the speaking skills in the English foreign language classroom with the students of third year of Bachillerato. The problems with the speaking skills are inhibition, nothing to produce in the English; in this case, there is no production of speaking and writing skills of this foreign language; low participation, and native language use. In the same way, it will help to build a virtual learning environment that will be applied in the learning teaching process, in which there are, strategies to increase the knowledge of the speaking skill of the English language by the use of the social nets. The results obtained in the research work let to know that the students use social nets but they cannot apply as an educational tool, or as a virtual learning environment to facilitate the learning teaching process. In the first part, it presents a brief description of the problem, the participants in the research project and the objectives. After this, the information about the virtual learning environment, advantages in the educative process are described. The speaking skills are explained in some stages to understand the problems that the students have in the ability. The data collection in this research was done to evaluate the speaking skills. Here it shows the results obtained, and finally it shows the importance in education.
