| Summary: | The communities of Ecuador must establish their action to respond to disasters, through an integral, sustainable and resilient approach, through the creation of the Risk Management Committee and operational brigades, which allow providing an immediate and timely response to the care of emergencies or disasters. This document focuses on evaluating the components of the PTP participatory methodology (Practice - Theory - Practice) in the phases of prevention, socialization and response to dangerous events that may occur in the community of Paraíso de Villao, of the Cantón Pedro Carbo, Province of the Guayas. The community of Paraíso de Villao, through the participatory PTP methodology with a holistic approach, has established the conformation of the Risk Management Committee and the community teams for prompt operational response. As a result we have the evaluation of the integral components of the PTP participatory methodology, starting from the feelings and practical experiences to face the emergencies experienced, a second moment of theoretical reflection, where an agenda can be established for the reduction of risks and finally in a third moment Operational practice, through the formation of operational brigades for the attention of emergencies or disasters that have occurred in the community. In conclusion, it was determined that the process for the community participatory methodology or PTP contributes to the strengthening of the community in the face of dangerous events, through the constant feedback of risk management and attention to incidents, emergencies or disasters that may develop in the community. |
