Beskrivelse
Summary:The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of psychosocial risk factors that affect the performance of health workers in a public institution such as Misión Pichincha, which is adjunct to GobiernoAutónomoDescentralizado de la Provincia de Pichincha. This topic analyses the documents written by the Ministerio de Trabajo (Ministry of Manpower) and other studies. The evaluation of these risks is measured by the application of the “Psychosocial evaluation questionnaire in work environments”. This questionnaire was designed and approved by the Ministry of Manpower of Ecuador and had 124 health workers participants that were 28.3% men and 71.7% women including medical doctors, odontologists, medical technicians and nurse auxiliaries. On one hand, the main findings include risks that agree with Dimension 8 about “Other Main Issues”, related to workplace harassment, work conditions and action framework. On the other hand, Dimension 7 includes “Help and Support” section, which results show “Medium risk”. Because of the research findings, this study recommends strategies for the intervention to improve labor conditions.
