Taking into account the aforementioned, the Ecuadorian State considers itself as guarantor and protector of the rights of people who are in a situation of mobility, this is verified in the 58 articles of the Constitution, in turn in the National Plan of Good Living (2013-2017) human mobility is configured as a right and an integration mechanism that can contribute to the country with innumerable benefits in terms of progress. In this context, immigrants should have the same opportunities and rights as Ecuadorian citizens. However, in reality there are numerous tensions in relation to the guarantee and the real exercise of these rights, this is verified in the processes of discrimination suffered by undocumented Venezuelans (including those who have legal status) in Ecuador, who Time to look for work or to be hired is offered to pay a salary lower than the basic unified salary, for the simple fact of being immigrants (El Telégrafo, 2017). Against this background, the present investigation addresses Venezuelan immigration from different approaches, this will allow the reader a comprehensive perspective on the employment situation, quality of life and the economic contribution of Venezuelan immigrants in the commercial sector of one of the most popular parishes from the city of Quito: Carcelén. |

A esto se añade, que los migrantes que llegan al país, en su mayoría provienen de países de la región (Venezuela, Colombia y Perú). Tomando en cuenta lo mencionado, el Estado ecuatoriano se plantea como garante y protector de los derechos de las personas que se encuentren en situación de movilidad, esto se verifica en los 58 articulados de la Constitución, a su vez en el Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir (2013-2017) la movilidad humana se configura como un derecho y un mecanismo de integración que puede aportar al país con innumerables beneficios en términos de progreso. Bajo este contexto, los inmigrantes deberían tener las mismas oportunidades y derechos que los ciudadanos ecuatorianos. Sin embargo, en la realidad se dan numerosas tensiones en relación con la garantía y el real ejercicio de estos derechos, esto se verifica en los procesos de discriminación que sufren los venezolanos indocumentados (incluso quienes tienen estancia legal) en el Ecuador, quienes a la hora de buscar trabajo o de ser contratados se les ofrece pagar un sueldo menor al salario básico unificado, por el simple hecho de ser inmigrantes (El Telégrafo, 2017).
