Summary:Globalization, the crisis of the Westphalian state and the end of the Cold War anchored to a fourth industrial revolution forces us to act in a different context where territorial borders are blurred and the scenario where the Ecuadorian Army will act turns each time more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. Under this argument, for the strategic management of military operations in order to face the emerging threats that this scenario forces, it is a key factor to analyze and explain the strategic importance of establishing a transformational leadership model in the Ecuadorian Army that allows it to project itself to 2033.
