| Тойм: | This study aims to investigate how Ecuador's migration policy orients actions around the employability in the formal labor market of Venezuelan flows in Quito, between 2008 and 2022. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach that combined descriptive and explanatory aspects. An evolution of migration policies in Ecuador and the wave of Venezuelan migrants in Quito during the study period was carried out, identifying relevant trends and characteristics. In addition, a human rights approach was applied to examine the impact of these flows on access to the formal labor market, identifying the obstacles faced by migrants. Various techniques, such as semi-structured interviews and focus groups, were used to collect data from non-governmental organizations and Venezuelan migrant flows. Reports and documents related to human mobility were also collected. The expected results provided detailed information on migration policies and their implementation in relation to Venezuelan migrant flows in Quito. In addition, obstacles to access to the formal labor market were identified and the adequacy of Ecuadorian migration policy to international human rights standards was assessed. These determinations could contribute to improve migration policies and promote the labor inclusion of Venezuelan migrants in Quito. The discussion focused on the analysis of the results obtained and their relationship with international human rights standards. Possible solutions to improve the employability of Venezuelan migrants were explored, considering aspects such as discrimination, language barriers and recognition of their evidence. Likewise, the alignment of Ecuador's migration policy with the principles of inclusion and respect for migrants' rights will be evidenced. |
