| Gaia: | Julian Assange of Australian nationality leaked in his portal Wikileaks, secret information of the United States, evidencing the meddling of the US in internal affairs of other States. Edward Snowden, a US national and a US secret service official, provided secret information to Wikileaks. For this reason both are persecuted by the United States, Julian Assange as public enemy and Edward Snowden as traitor to the mother country, which according to the laws of North America implies life imprisonment or death penalty. The information published worldwide by the portal Wikileaks revealed the policy of interference with the United States, countries that felt affected their sovereignty raised their voice of protest through their diplomatic representatives, Germany, Brazil, Spain, France, Mexico among others. Ecuador as a measure of rejection declared persona non grata to the US ambassador "Heather Hodges". The different States with the aforementioned antecedents detected the need to conceptualize, control and establish parameters to cyberspace, however, the territorial space, air and sea has different characteristics to cyberspace, being this open, autonomous, without borders, without rigid identity, Interactive, uncensored, global and even vulnerable in their security. The objective of this research is to analyze chronologically the cases of Julian Assange and Edward Snowden, the situation in which they are and their possible outcomes, elaborating a concept of Digital Sovereignty based on the study carried out. |
