Resumo:The present research aims to analyze the gender-based violence processes faced by migrant women from Venezuela in the country's northern border, specifically in the Carchi province. To this end, a comprehensive review has been conducted of national and international legal instruments seeking to safeguard and enforce the human rights of this population group, of reports presented by various national and international actors regarding the situation of Venezuelan migrant women; and interviews were conducted with migrant women in the Carchi province. Regarding the methodology, a qualitative and intersectional approach was used to provide an in-depth treatment of the information obtained from both the review of legal and informative documentation, as well as the information provided by the interviewed population group. The combination of both approaches allows addressing the research problem from various angles, enriching and providing greater concreteness to the case analysis, giving voice to the actors directly involved in the research topic. This approach made it possible to highlight the intersectional nature of the violence faced by Venezuelan migrant women at the country's northern border. Their migratory status is shaped by gender and class factors, which heighten their vulnerability by restricting access to employment, worsening working conditions for those who manage to find jobs, and limiting access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and justice. The research findings underscore the need to strengthen state intervention and expand international cooperation to address the specific situation of Venezuelan women within the migration process.
