Aggiungi Tag | Riassunto: | This thesis sought to know the gender relations in work settings of migrants from Ecuador and Venezuela from 1980 to 2010. Inquire into the factors that cross gender relations and the elements that influence them, including the type of migration and their motivations, the labor participation of women and men in both countries, the role of the state on the issue of migration and gender, and the influence of culture and perceptions on gender relations in work environments. The three chapters that embrace this thesis were initially composed of a theoretical and normative approaches of the main definitions, the second chapter analyzes the migration flows and trends, and finally, the third chapter comment a reflection about the gender relations present in Venezuelan and Ecuadorian migrants during the period studied in Ecuador and Venezuela. Because gender studies and migration between Ecuador and Venezuela are limited, this investigation presents elements of a partially explorative research, focusing primarily on be descriptive, attempting to explain the variables involved and their correlation around the elements studied without losing sight on the characteristics of South-South migration and family migration networks that were formed between countries. In conclusion, the gender relations on the job of migrants during 1980-2010 in Ecuador and Venezuela, were carried out unevenly, however, progress are being made to change this nowadays. |
